OUR FLEET

Our fleet

901

901 has served in Mexico the longest of any of the planes in our fleet. This Cessna 206, along with all the other planes, have been modified with a cargo pod underneath. They also have been modified with STOL equipment in order to land on short mountain airstrips. Our planes are an excellent instrument to serve the Lord and impact lives for eternity.

52Q

This Cessna 206 has spent many years flying in Mexico. Then in 2014 52Q had a hard landing on a rugged mountain airstrip. It spent eight years being rebuilt. In 2022 it returned to ministry in Mexico. We are so thankful for the Lord’s provision, and we are looking forward to many more years of service for the Lord.

29C

This plane is a Cessna 206 that has flown in Mexico since 2013. Our three Cessna 206s rotate between our bases as maintenance is needed on each of them. 29C flies church planters, indigenous pastors, Bibles, supplies for the missionaries, medical evacuations, and much more. We are so thankful that the Lord has provided this tool to serve Him more effectively.

Carbon cub

The Carbon Cub belongs to Mexico Medical Missions who operates Hospital Misión Tarahumara. It primarily transports patients to and from the hospital who need medical care. The Carbon Cub is able to land on short runways that UIM Aviation’s Cessna 206 can’t land on.The Carbon Cub also transports missionaries to their remote locations where they minister. It saves the missionaries hours of driving time on dangerous 4X4 roads. The “H” in the number stands for “hospital”, the “T” stands for “Tarahumara”, and “23” is the year that it began flying in Mexico.

999

Another small hauler of our fleet is a Cessna 182 with a Peterson Conversion. The Peterson Conversion adds a canard up front and a fuel-injected Continental IO-470 giving the Cessna’s 182 an added boost when operating off remote mountain airstrips. We also took it further and added special stowing seats to put a stretcher inside when performing medivac flights.

N9604G

We manage and fly N9604G, a Cessna Turbo 206, owned by another ministry organization that allows us to operate it as if it was our own. We help them by maintaining 04G and servicing their ministry needs. 04G is a huge blessing as a backup when one of our aircraft is down for maintenance. This aircraft often flies ministry flights into Mexico from our aviation base in Tucson, Arizona.

51T

We are thrilled to recently add this additional aircraft to our fleet. Our ultimate goal is to have one Cessna 206 at each Mexican base and one in Tucson for maintenance and flights from there. We are working on repairing and modifying this aircraft to meet our specific needs.  This process will be done in stages over the next few years. Please, consider donating towards this need.
